Cover for Spyder RT Limited.....
I have a 2012 Spyder RT Ltd and am looking for a good quality cover for the off months. It will be stored in a garage that is insulated. Also, does anyone use a maintenance battery charger when storing & can you recommend a good one??

The BRP trailering cover fits like a glove and is of high quality. It is fully lined with a soft liner to protect the paint. I also have a CoverMax cover I needed to get when I put passenger arm rests on causing the BRP cover not to fit. The CoverMax would be fine if no snow load was expected as in inside storage. And much cheaper too!

Agree...
if you still want to cover her just a blanket or painters plastic over the top that you can slip off and shake out from time to time would work. Garage kept is pretty much protected as is...

All I do is take two old bed sheets and cover the Spyder, in the garage. Put the battery on tender and let it go.

I took a couple of inexpensive sheets and had my wife sew them together to keep the dust off my Spyder when it spends time in the garage, as far as your battery, a Battery Tender (brand name of a battery maintaniner ) is the only way to go for my money.

How old would you be if you didn't know how old you were?

I keep mine in a shed without a cover because of the creepy crawlys that lurks at night or when the door closes. I just wipe off the dust that accumulates and ride. I use the battery tender and it keeps my battery ready to go.

I would recommend the Battery Tender Plus.....It is a charger as well as a maintainer...Prices vary from place to place. I got my at walmart They had one price online and one price in the store. I went to customer service and they gave me the their web price which was cheaper. shop around.

Full cover -- Covercraft. Wine color is cheaper than the black !
Half cover -- Nelson Rigg, both excellent.
Charger -- Deltran Battery Tender

with Buggy...
I have both their full, and half-covers, and am very impressed with how well they do their job.
I use the full BRP cover for winter storage in garage and always carry the travel (half) cover - works great and I've had them since buying my 2012 RT and now using them on our 2014 RT. "Battery Tender" brand is the way to go as well - IMHO....keeps the battery in good shape. I have a double station Battery Tender and works well - used it for years.
Happy and safe rydin'

I have used the Formosa full cover for 2 winters and have been happy with it. I also use the Formosa half cover when traveling. Neither one are expensive and both are of good quality. My RT is plugged into a Battery Tender 24/7, year round.

I use a cover from Value Accessories they have both half and full covers.
I have 1 of each and like them both. They are a sponsor here and a lot cheaper
than a BRP.

I went to Walmart and bought a full sized waterproof cover for the rt Ltd, then put a tarp grommet in for the antenna to go thru and use a schumacher battery tender I bought at Lowe's.

While there's obviously some differing opinions about covering a bike, or what to cover it with; we seem to universally agree on one thing:
Deltran Battery Tenders!!
(But there ARE others out there...)

I have 2 for sale - 1 used and 1 never used.

I think they are Champion or some such. I will look when I get home. They were like $70 each.
PM me if you are interested.

If I had a garage I wouldn’t cover it at all. Just dust it off occasionally. Either a Battery Tender trickle/float charger is your best bet. It looks like it’s not just my humble opinion. They’re not that expensive and keep your battery in tip top condition. I’ve been using one for years and they’re foolproof.

I have two of the Canam RT ones that have been used twice. Now that we have a garage we never cover our bikes. PM me if interested. I will make you a deal!
