Hope you are all enjoying weekend. Over in the UK we have enjoyed sunshine and mild weather.
Whilst washing my F3-S, I noticed some marks on both of my front wheels that are appearing under surface finish of wheel and marks cannot be felt (see attached pics). Common sense tells me to email my dealer with pics of the marks and copy BRP care into the email. My request is to have both front wheels replaced under warranty.
Let me know if you see any similar marks on your front wheels, it will be interesting to know if this is a one off or are there a number of wheels facing same issue.
Enjoy rest of weekend.

Shouldn't you bring it to your dealer before going over their head to BRP?
It definitely looks like something is going on under that clear coat.
Hi GearHd,
Copied BRP care into my email to dealer.

If the clearcoat hasn't been compromised: this is definitely worth having the dealer take a look at it...
If Sandra needs a "new pair of shoes"; I hope that they decide in your favor!
since all the "marks " are on a leading edge, and you can see pitting or chipping on the edge
in the one picture, it looks like an impact with "some material" has indeed compromised the clear coat.

my 2017 RTS SE6 Champagne metallic (Champ)
Mine are doing the same thing, I am going to gloss black powder coat them.
It seems like the black inset doesn't do well with the brake dust either, they don't shine like they used to.
Dealer has responded promptly to my email and below is a copy of what they sent.
Hi Darren,
I have contacted BRP for you - will see what they say and try and get these replaced under warranty for you.
Many thanks.
Matt.
Updates will be posted when I receive more news.

Corrosion under the lacquer is all too common an issue with diamond cut wheels. I would have expected them to last a few years though so I don't blame you asking for it to be rectified under warranty. Had the same thing on my EVO wheels but they lasted about 5 years before needing a refurb.
Just had a look at my F3 and other than a few light marks I don't see anything like that. Mine have done 8500 miles.
As Jim says I intend to get them done all black when they do start to go as I think it will look better anyway.

On the happier note in your message we did have some nice weather. Did the egg run in Stoke Sunday morning - good fun with about 2500 bikes on closed off the roads round the city. Not that any one was treating it as an opportunity for a bit of street hooliganism of course........
That's why us folks that live in the north don't ride in the winter months is the salt.
It's very corrosive. If it gets under the clear coat it will peel of lift it.
Salt will in time corrode the heck out of aluminum. Can take a picture of my wifes rims
Thanks for this info, very useful to know for us newbies.
