Been gone a while
Hell all,
So I have been out of the community for a while, well a long while. I still own my 2008 spyder and it has been sitting in hybernation for the past two year plus years. Due to the military and when I retired I went back overseas for a because of the job availability. Now that I'm sick of leaving the family im ready to get my baby back on road again. Since the weather is getting nicer I think I will start the process of uncovering her and stating the process. I know the battery is completely dead. I want to see if can replace it my self. Should a novice attempt this? I looked at the video and think I can do it or should I have it towed to the dealer and have them do what everelse is needed. I pretty sure I should have the oil changed too. The bike has less than 5k miles on it. I want to do as much as I can my self because I still unemployed and don't want to put put 1k into it just yet.
thanks...

Agree...
If you are in doubt on the battery you should find a knowledgeable friend or get an estimate on getting her street ready from a dealer. I'm sure you can handle the battery and oil change then it gets trickier. Glad your back and getting back on the road...

How about some pictures of where your recent adventures have taken you??

On the battery change. From one retiree to another, "Thank you for your service". Now that you have done the battery, the oil change will be a piece of cake. Get hold of BajaRon. He has has all the kits at a very reasonable price. Just let him know what you are riding and you will get what you need. Enjoy your ride.

I am new here, had my Spyder for less than a year, but in that short time have learned a lot from this site and love the info that is available.
