That's good news! We start our trip tomorrow - we will be working in Tucson tomorrow afternoon. Monday we are taking a somewhat scenic ride and should spend the night somewhere around Hobbs, NM. Tuesday will be somewhere in Texas and Wednesday at the Holiday Inn Raceland!

I will try to bring some sunshine with me!

Here is the Louisiana website to check road conditions:

    http://www.511la.org/

There is an app that you can download if needed. I would stay on the interstates and not venture onto the "scenic" routes as they may take you through low lying areas that may flood out.

I live north of New Orleans and local rivers are to crest beginning tomorrow.

Johnny, I should have said we are taking a scenic ride on Monday. Then we hit the interstate on Tuesday.

I'm leaving tomorrow and will take the scenic route through Arkansas, then Baton Rouge and then Raceland. If the rally is cancelled while I'm on my way, at least I'll get some good riding done before I come home. But I sure hope it won't be.

Pictures from around our house this afternoon. The last picture is the road to our house. Water is going to go up another 2' by Tuesday Afternoon.
We hope it drops enough by Wednesday morning so I can head out to SPYDER ON THE BAYOU.
    Looking forward to seeing everyone.
We might have to re-route the Highway 22 ride.

Louise and I have cancelled our trip to Spyders on the Bayou. First our planned route using LA 12 is closed due to flooding and now weather is reporting 70% chance of heavy thunderstorms thurs thru Sat. More rain on top of flooded areas. A full weekend of rain just does not sound like much of a fun time and the flooding is worrisome for travel plans from out of state.

Be safe if you go. We are out for this year. Perhaps next year the weather will cooperate. We are very disappointed as were much looking forward to the weekend trip.

Sorry to hear you are not coming. All roads in the area will be fine. Guess I will have to eat your crawfish.

I also have canceled my trip to Spyders on the Bayou. With the forecast of rain the entire time Thursday thru Saturday, that doesn't sound like fun. With all that rain I'm sure more roads will become flooded. Hope to make it next year. Cruzr Joe, you can eat my crawfish. LOL

Plans are still a go for us.

Guess we'll be trying out the new hitch fender sooner than wished.

Oh well. Rain gear is ready and so are we.

    Cool

I'm local and will be helping out the staff with the event.
I'll be there Wed mid day and early Thur morning in the lobby if anyone wishes to go on an informal, unscheduled ride. Be happy to take anyone around the area if you'd like. The chance of rain increases later in the week, so if you want to get in a ride or two early, hit me up.

Message me if you want to set something up or just find me there.
let's ride safe & be careful out there,
