    Default Adhesive Residue

I removed some graphics (stickers or decals) off my RT's saddle bags. What is the best stuff to use to remove the glue residue without damaging the paint?

For me it seems if Goo Gone does not work WD 40 will. If WD 40 does not work Goo Gone will.

Goo Be Gone has acetone in it.... It will work on chrome and metal but for sure I would not use it on the plastic windshield. Might be OK on the paint but test it somewhere you won't notice first.

    Default AND ALSO !

All the removal schemes are okay. But... whatever you use, and no one else addressed this yet,
NEUTRALIZE after use. Have a bucket of soapy water and a mitt or whatever, and just the second
the adhesive is gone wash the heck out of the entire area.

All is very time consuming. Get you elbows ready!! Please do Not try "goof off" or any other chemicals for removing gummy stuff. The alcohol will evaporate clean & leave no residue.

According to the MSDS Goo Gone does not contain acetone.

I used WD-40 and a credit card. Sprayed on let sit for about 10 seconds, used card to scrape up the glue and it came right off. I washed it with soap and water afterwards. Thanks for all the suggestions and this forum.

Goo gone. I've used it for years with no issues. Works great. After I use it I normally wash the area then use some kind polish or wax

I recently debadged my '14 RT, OEM white, and removed a lot of vinyl tape in preparation for having it painted a diff color.

I wasn't concerned about damaging the paint and used a LOT of ACETONE to remove the sticky stuff. After getting all the panels thoroughly clean, with NO DAMAGE TO PAINT, I decided I liked the stark look and left it that way.

Gave it a couple coats of ICE spray wax and called it a day.

I'm not recommending this to anyone, and would suggest using something less hazardous to health, but if you have a persistent goo, you can try the Acetone.
