So I'm ready to light up the new Rt. My old spyder was a bit of a mash up from several vendors but I want to do it smart this time around. So opinions? TricLED? Custom Dynamics? Some other vendor? I'm electrically challenged so bear in mind I'm going to have to pay for installation (and find a good installer). I'm leaning to Custom Dynamics as they will be at Bike week (which I am attending) and hoping they do installations there. All thoughts are welcome.
TricLed...once I got past sticker shock for most all products for Spyders (similar to HD, but I come from the mass world of metric motorcycling), I found TricLed products top notch and everything that's advertised. I installed it all myself with less than average hassle. Great instructions and a bonus that others here generously answer questions and give advice on the process.
I highly recommend all their products...to the point I just ordered their newest product, LED head & fog light bulbs for my '14 RT-L

You should consider Custom Dynamics for the HMT brake light. TricLED has top notch lights for everywhere else.
2020 Chalk, RT Limited, Dark and matching RT622 trailer and BRP hitch. BRP Drivers Backrest, Auxiliary Light, Garmin Zumo XT, GPS Support, RT Rear Panel and Travel Cover. Spyderpops LEDs on fenders, mirrors, saddlebags, top case and RT rear panel. Spyderpops Rock Guard. BajaRon Swaybar, Wolo Bad Boy horn, Freedom Windshield, Elka Shocks.
You have an installer not too far from you in Melbourne, FL - SpyderLyter Fred. He uses mostly TricLED lights but I'm sure he'd install whatever you want. TricLED is in south Florida, again not too far from you.
My preference is for TricLED as they stand behind their products. I have had one or two issues with Custom Dynamics and it wasn't easy getting them to replace faulty products. That said, their HMT brake light is great and I have never had a problem with one.
TricLED has the "safety package" that includes front fender lights and rear saddlebag lights and it is priced very nicely. You can also add the turn signal module to that. Another must have from them are the mirror turn signal lights.

I agree. I am starting with the HMT-INT from Custom Dynamics and also doing the Fender SafetyZ from TricLED (I like them better than the CD ones because they maintain the reflector). Haven't researched the rest yet but I imagine I will go with best of breed from either.

I would also inquire about maybe having Kenny Butler at CFPS do the install. He is currently lighting up his 2016 F3T?.
Rather than deal with a mad rush install at Daytona, might be better to let time provide some quality. Not saying it would be a bad or poor workmanship install at Daytona, but why risk it. It's not as if it is installing a seat, windscreen or backrest. Bit more work.
I'm guessing CFPS is Central Florida Powersports. I just checked their website--there's no Kenny Butler listed in their service dept.
After dealing with both, I can say that TricLED has great service / support, so I would reccomend them over Custom Dynamics (if they sell what your looking for)
I prefer TricLEDs...
But it's your money, and your call!
Have to agree with Bob or all Specialty LED's TricLED's is my choice with great customer support, however if your looking at just LED's or mini Strip LED's take a look at Oznium that is were I got all my mini strips they too will stand behind their products and have replaced free of charge some of the strips that I purchased.
Why is Custom Dynamics HMT Brake Light viewed as better than the one sold by TricLED?
if you look them up, the CD product is bigger, fancier, and fits perfectly in the space at top of the trunk plus I think it has some chrome; it optionally can have amber turn signal led's at the ends...the tricled is smaller.
I like the tricled for my machine

I got my XK Chrome kit last friday. I'm still in the planning on what im going to do with it. The contol module will go well in the frunk. From there I will start stringing lights from front to rear. It has 2 zones Ill do one zone as under lights and the rest will be zone 2.

I bought a generic unit off ebay with 2 adjustments knobs...how fast it flashes and how many (how long) it flashes then goes solid
I have it wired to my TricLED trunk brake light unit to flash 7 times pretty quickly and then goes solid when the brakes are activated. I you have some mechanical/electrical ability and can crimp some barrel connectors making a circuit, it should be workable.
I also use one in each of my cars wired to the 3rd brake light near the rear window.
I only wish that TricLED not only sold lighting, but had a Customer Service school. I have their products, and they are an example of what
"Customer Service" Should be.
Remember, you get what you pay for.. They are there for you, and they have patients (to help us electrical challenged) to match their customer service.
What I'm trying to find out is whether anyone has installed strobes on their brake lights and if so whether they had any problem because of it with police---or know anyone who has.
