AY4B, for what it's worth Texas has only approved white and amber lights for led accent lighting as of September 2015. As you can see from my avatar (hopefully), I'm running an additional color. Only installed over the holidays, but have been at a light with cop car behind me and no problems yet. Mine are set in a "breath" mode but I can strobe them and have them in a solid mode via the remote control attached to my "tank" area with Velcro.

You probably should check with your DMV as to the legality of them first...
I've seen some brakelight setups that were awesome! But I've also heard that some of them can cause electrical issues that you really don't want!

Thanks Bob, excellent advise. But still trying to drill down and see if anyone has bought Custom Dynamics High Brake Light with the stobe module and had a problem with electrical issues on the RT Spyder. Anyone?

I haven't heard of anyone installing the strobe module. I doubt seriously you would jave any issues with police or the electrical system. Check with Lamont. If I remember correctly he was selling a brake module. Also, for LEDs, check with Wiredux. He is also a vendor on SL.

I added the remote module to my led bump skid ('14 RT-L) and it works fine. The reason was for parades and especially Patriot Guard Funeral Escorts. I also added to it all 12" large white strip led's - one horizontal center just below the headlights; and two in rear - vertical where the side case lids meet the body. I still have one more, but have no plans for that strip at this time.

SpyderPops sells the remote module I have, but I purchased mine off Amazon.

My high mounted brake light from TricLED has an added module I wired in to adjust the speed of flashes and the time of flashing when the brake is engaged. Mine flashes pretty quick and 7 times before it goes solid.

My FJR had hyperlites that flashed constantly whenever the brake was applied. In over 100k miles riding all over the southeast, I never had a problem other than the bike sarcastically being called a Christmas Tree on occasion. My friends in different police depts. said that it just might have saved my life and they were fine with it. That they'd seen too many horrific rear end collisions with the "I didn't see them" excuse used.
let's ride safe & be careful out there,
