Thanks for your responses....after driving our spyder for the first day, we have come up with a name...
Being in Georgia and being a white bike, we thought of:
Dixie
Moonshine
Casper
Sugar
Bianco
Zoomer (close runner up)
Pearl
Beluga
Southern candy
After driving for 2 hours and enjoying the comfy ride, we have named it... "Southern Comfort"
Names of current stable mates:
Spyder: "Pony" - he's big and looks like a white Pony from the back
TR6R Triumph Tiger: "Sir Edward"
V-Strom 1000: "Denali"
FXR4: "Ringo"
60ish Brakeless Flat Tracker: "Topolino"
2500 Dodge Ram: "George VI"
CTS-V: "Flash"
And if your ride/ryding pleases you enough, it might even be a 'nice' name!!
But I hafta pity some of those owners who've ended up with really 'not nice' names off their rides.....
Their rides musta done (or not done??!) something reeeeaaaallly bad to earn some of the names I've heard them called!!
Right on! At the start of some rydes, I've called mine "Honey". At the end of some rydes (sometimes, during) the name has "evolved" into something less complementary. More often than not, I've used some "ess's", some "ohh's", and some "bee's". All in good fun. Have to admit, and, hoping I'm not jinxing myself here, I've never had to go back and trailer my Spyder home ------------ yet.
Should I change the name of our Spyder? Which one do you like?
OH-OH! THINKING ABOUT CHANGING THE NAME....
We had decided on "Southern Comfort" because we are in Georgia and the bike is so comfortable. But then a friend of mine saw the video of me (Karen) test driving my first Spyder. If you saw the video, I was giving it gas with my foot on the pedal and then released the petal and almost got whip lash. So now I'm thinking we should call it "Whip Lash". At least it has a story.
Yes, I named it and put the name on the back of the bike, "JOSHUA"
Reason, Joshua 24:15, if you don't know it, you can look it up, but it advertises my status quite accurately!
Thank you,

Watcha think? Southern Comfort or Whip Lash?
I think Southern Comfort only because your comfort is longer lasting then the whip lash. Of course when the wife is driving take care that the name doesn't revert to being uncomfortable.
Happy to be back in the game here. Had a 2012 RTL but sold it and went two wheeling again for a bit, but am glad to be back with an F3S. We named our RT "Spyke" and had a liscense tag to match. Really courous what some of you have named yours? Thanks for sharing and welcoming us back!

I have been building cars/motorcycles for 40 years and have had so many toys of said vehicles I could not possibly remember them all. I have always thought it strange when humans name there cars bikes etc.
Well who new.......
I had to give up motorcycling after 40+ years because of complications from cancer.
Along came the Spyder and for the first time I gave a name to a vehicle. I named it the Pheonix as it brought me up and out of the ashes and back into the wind.
I bought it May 16th of last year and put 12,400 miles on it in 7 months of pretty much local New England riding.
That's my story and I'm sticking to it. 😆
Some people are like Slinkies good for nothing but fun when tossed down the stairs

We called our 2010 RT "Fawkes", for similar reasons...
I only name animate things not inanimate things. Inanimate things have no soul, no heart, cannot feel, hear see or speak. I have never felt warm and fuzzy about things that are not warm and fuzzy.
