    Hi Mike!
on finding both a GREAT bike... and us!
It takes some time to get used to the Spyder's handling traits, but it's nothing that is insurmountable.

Here's to lots of Miles and Smiles!!

Someone from Washington will chime in where to go for the laser alignment. Tom

For some like me the Spyder was a major learning curve.I rode 2 wheels for 40 years and it took me at least 1000 km to get the feel for the Spyder.Just take your time it,ll come to you.

That is EXACTLY what I thought about my 2010 RT, while riding it home... I was positive that I had just made a $25,000 mistake!
I was hopping around in my lane just like a toad on a hotplate! Finally; I remembered that BRP also built Ski Doo snowmobiles. If they could get down a trail in a straight line; so could this thing... I lightened up my "White Knuckle Death Grip" on the bars, and the Clouds parted...

Default Welcome and it does take time...

Welcome!!! It took me a bit also to get used to the Spyder, I found at first I was trying to oversteer instead of just guiding the Spyder. Once you get used to it, its a very relaxing ride!

Mike, there is a Spyder Club in Spokane. We are in our 4th year and we would be happy to help you. We meet the 3rd Wednesday of the month normally at the Roundtable Pizza in the strip mall on the corner of Sprague and Sullivan kinda next to Harbor Freight. When I can I will PM you a contact number of our president. We have a group ride at least once a month plus some others. Hope to hear from you!! Showie

Check your air pressure....it makes a lot of difference in how your scoot handles. Put 25 in front and 30 in the rear, ride a few miles, let out two pounds, ride and see how it goes. Find your sweet spot....it is different for different folks. I run 25 front, 30 in the rear as I like a firm ride and Mr.Cognac handles great.....good luck.

I traded my 2014 RT for a 2017 Mr. White RT-S. I am George Lewis. I live two miles from Boerne, TX. I am 89, retired USAF and Sony Corp. I also have a GW MotorTrike. My email: scoot62@aol.com

    Default Welcome welcome....

To both the spyder world and this most informative site. Great choice..congrats..!! I have same year RS. 300 miles is a good start but may take a couple hundred more. There are other mods you can do but start with the tire pressure 15 to 20, I run 17lbs. make sure, as best you can, that both fronts are the same. I run 28 in the rear. After you master the handling you can think of the other stuff....

    Cool

One of the best things that you can do to vastly improve the handling on your RS is to fit a BajaRon sway bar.
I had similar problems and the sway bar made ryding much more of a pleasure and less of a fight!

Next meeting is Wednesday March 16th. We are a very low key fun group and between the group at lot of miles and knowledge on Spyder's and 2 wheelers. Looking forward to meeting you. Good luck with the alignment problem. Anyone else reading this is invited also .

Your front tires will make you bounce around with too much air in them, the general consensus is 18 - 20 Lbs in the front (be sure both are the same) and 28 in the rear. Play with different front pressures till you find your sweet spot.
