I think that on a dolly, you have to put the drive wheel on the dolly and the non-drive wheels on the ground. So the Spyder would have to be towed backwards. It's front end would scrape on the pavement in that configuration. All the dollies I've ever seen are configured for 2 wheels, not one. There's also the inconvenience of having to remove the windshield to tow it backwards.
If you want to tow it, you should put it on a trailer facing forward.
Only with all three wheels on trailer. Flat bed tow truck. Something to do with the fluids & transmission neutral position quirks. Best to not try more than few hundred feet if at all possible.

I'm with them outside of the emergecy tow to get you outta the way....don't. There are nice trailers even folding ones but then thats not what your asking...

I agree with Mike regarding the belt removal, a PITA but doable. OTOH, just because one can doesn't mean one should. I personally wouldn't want mine moved any way other than on a trailer or a rollback.

I was thinking about modifying something like this to attach to the front A frames?
......Towing with the front wheels on a DOLLY would not be great ( and gave my opinion above ) but this would be asking for trouble .........The front " A " arms are not DESIGNED to take the stress loads this would produce....IMHO......Mike

Even if dragging the drive wheel wasn't a REALLY bad idea, I doubt you'd be able to fit that tow rig under the Spyder without it dragging.
A simple flat bed trailer is pretty easy to work out. Mine is a simple jetski trailer with nothing more than some decking installed to make a flat surface.
I spent a good while last summer trying one-way options with U-Haul. Too wide for any of the 4 wheel trailers with ramps because the opening is narrower than the trailer bed. I still think the two dolly with the Spyder belt removed would be a good idea. However U-Haul will only rent for recognized vehicles. You could lie about what you are towing, but in case of a wreck would be in a bad way.
Has anyone towed their spyder by the rear wheel using motorcycle-rack rear wheel towing system model # CARWT500.
If you are wondering why I want to tow my spyder I live alone and it would be nice to take my spyder in for service using my SUV or use my spyder to pick up my USV and then tow the spyder home. Thought about using a trailer to haul the spyder but not sure the spyder could tow the trailer home when leaving the SUV at the survise shop.
Not sure his would work on the rear tire of a spyder I'm single an dont have room for a trailer at my house and my dealer is 60 miles away would save from renting a trailer if the F3 had to spend more than a few hours at the dealer.
