Possible parking brake cable came off the front pulley system. Dose the parking brake set when button is pushed?

Did you check for codes? With the key on push the mode, set and turn signal cancel button at the same time.

The high pitched whine is most likely the sound of the throttle plates being held open. It lasts for about 20 minutes.
