    Question Hitch Removal

So I bought a 36mm socket today so I can align my belt to keep it from rubbing the flange.
Is it easy to remove the BRP hitch to access the axle nut?
    Thanks,

    Thanks,
Very easy, takes about 15 minutes. That's with a break.

You just need a 3/4' wrench and a 3/4" socket to remove the shaft that goes through the rear axle. A pair of needle nose pliers to remove the cotter pin holding the nut in place (to remove the shaft).

NO because the bolt for the hitch is completely separate from the axel pressure/tension .....You are not loosening the AXEL................Mike

    Default Easy

Remove cotter pin. Remove castilated nut. Remove hitch axle ( bolt). Take a rubber mallet, beat the hitch ball to the rear. Hitch comes off with a few blows.

I forgot to mention, when you're sliding off the hitch, be sure to move the brake line (on right side) out of the way. You only have to move it out an inch to clear so the hitch can slide off.
