You get a merit badge for your Badger knowledge. I grew up on a Ranch in Wiggins CO. We had badgers and boy they are tuff critters. Never tangle with them--you will lose. Looks like the Honey Badger is every bit as tough and fearless. Saw a program on Animal Planet ( I watch animal planet with my dogs ) about them.

Just a little reminder, here in Arizona if caught going 25+ over the speed limit the state can confiscate your vehicle and drivers license. Eventually

you will get your license back but not the vehicle.

I've heard it said, that the Badger is sort of like the Wolverine's little brother... but with an equal attitude!

I have only heard ONE successful story of a dog attacking a badger... and living!

The theoretical top speed can be easily calculated. If you can do 60mph at 3500rpm then your top speed would be 120mph at 7000rpm. This is a good estimate because factors such as wind and terrain will affect actual results.

The same top speed as my partners 2011 RSS 191kph, which equates to around 118mph. And we still had a lot of straight road ahead. That was before I put my Blueridge Screen and Xcreen on.

    Default top speed

Calculations may be correct but hitting max rpm in top gear may be very optimistic.

Nobody ever said anything about getting near the redline...
With the bike in gear; it'll spin to 8100 rpm...
(It's limited to 7500 rpm, if it's in neutral)
My bike hits 2800 rpm at 55 mph.
If we divide redline, by actual rpm at a given mph (8100/2800); it gives us 2.893
multiply 55mph by that, and it should give us an idea as to what sort of speed it would touch at redline.
    2.893x55 = 159.115 mph

You forgot to factor in "the wind resistance of a barn door," whose effect increase in conjunction with the velocity of said vehicle.

Was the mustang on a chevrolet rollback? It's not how fast you can go is how long you can stay in the saddle.

OK Bob--run that calculation at 7500 rpm & bs me with the mph number... 6500 rpm would be approx 128 mph & that's optimistic mph.

You'd never see the 7500 limiter in action, if the bike is in gear...

But it would work out to a touch over 147 mph.

For a reality check people may want to look up the speed record for 3 wheeled motorcycles. Lot of these calculations mean nothing in real life.
    My 2 cents worth,

Docdoru ran about 129 at Bonneville: a World record for a liter-class bike.

    Default F3 Top Speed

The theoretical top speed of any Spyder is easily calculated without endangering yourself or anyone else. Unless you have a slipping clutch the ratio of engine rpm to speed is fixed. So all you need to do is note the rpm at a lower speed, say, 60mph. If the rpm at that speed is 3500rpm then divide your red line (7500) by that number 7500/3500 = 2.143 then multiply your speed (60mph) by that number 2.143 x 60 = 128.57mph.

The other way to do this would be to note your speed (in mph) at 1/2 of the red line rpm (3750) and multiple that speed by 2.

These methods would give you the theoretical top speed. Whether you can attain that speed depends on many factors including wind, terrain, drag, etc...

Here are the Numbers Regarding Top Speed of the F3S. These are the theoretical numbers based on the gear ratios given in the service manual.
    Max Engine RPM is 7500
Rear Tire Diameter is 23 inches (+/- 1/4in)

    Gear Speed(mph)

    1st 45.38
    2nd 59.47
    3rd 73.56
    4th 88.20
    5th 104.48
    6th 123.52

These are the maximum speeds attainable in each gear.
There is some measurement uncertainty in the diameter of the rear tire which will affect the speed numbers slightly.
This assumes you can get up to 7500rpm in 6th gear and you probably can't due to wind and drag.
