    Default power steering

    anyone have there power steering go out on them and is there a quick fix besides replacing the hole thing only 10,000 miles on spyder

    please help

    It's an "electric thing"...
    The only quick fix besides replacing the unit...




    ...is replacing the bike!

    EDIT: After checking your profile; I see that you've got a 2008 GS. Was the DPS replaced under the factory recall?

    If memory serves, BRP did a recall warranty fix on these, but this was quite a few years ago......I don't know if you bought your's new - used ......a dealer could tell from the V.I.N. # exactly what the history of the Spyder is !!!! .....I'll PM you about the other thing .......Mike

    The recall was back in the Fall of 2010...

    mine went out at around 40k 59k on it now. I like the feel of the bike without the power assist.

    jps here in jax wanted 2000 plus labor
