    Default F4 Windshield

I've had my F3 2 months now, been enjoying the ride except for the Blue Ridge windshield which doesn't cut it. I'm 6' and I've been reading about the F4 windshield, has anyone installed one and how well does it cut out the wind, the BR allows the wind to smack me right in the eyes.
I've also removed the Cat and replaced it with the Lamonster Garage replacement pipe, I also installed a Big City Thunder baffle in the pipe to put back some of the back pressure it needs to run smooth. So far so good, now if I can get this windshield issue worked out.

If you've read any of the F4 posts you should know everything about it already. I've had mine on now for about 500 miles and I can truthfully say its the best money I've spent on my F3 so far. I can actually ride at any speed with my visor up and I don't get blasted with the wind. I ride with it full up in the winter now and will lower it for summer. Absolutely worth every penney.

Had the BR and like so many replaced it with the F4. I'm 6'1" " and went with the 28" as I like to look over the windshield. I have what I call a calm wind around me but no buffeting at any speed.

I have had mine since the end of June and placed 8000 miles with it. I'm 6'1" and love it. I have Morris a slant than the standard factory setup. The shorter will let you look over the top. I have enjoyed listening to music and taking phone calls. Not even possible with the Blue Ridge.

FYI the main mounts are great for speaker mounts too.

Since you already have the BR, I really recommend you take a look at the Gustovsen replacement shield. It looks much better on the bike than the F4 as the brackets are OEM and look such.... I am very pleased with the improved ride quietness and lack of buffeting.

Default F3 Windshield from F4 Customs

Thanks for all of the great reviews on our product for the F3. For those that don't know the F4 windshields are optically perfect, shed rain and are Highly Scratch Resistant. We make them from a high grade of polycarbonate so they won't break or shatter keeping you safe.
Again thanks for all or your great review and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

No, they are installed according to Elka instructions. They actually will not fit on the F3 the other direction.

    Default Elka shocks

I installed my Elka Shocks on my F3 in the opposite direction of the ones displayed in your photo on the blue F3. If I installed them the way you have them, I could not access the preload setting. Do you have the "stage 2" shocks?
if you get any info from John on the proper installation, please post.
    thanks

I have the stage 2. The adjustment screw on the shock end (on the bottom on mine) is why I could not install them the other way. The screw sticks out the side and hit the mount. But if yours fit that way it must work. Perhaps I was in a hurry and mistook something. I'll wait to hear back from John but sounds like I may be flipping them. No big deal.

Very sorry, I was not meaning to scold. Heck I was as guilty as anyone. Just wanted to post the complete answer where someone might find it if they searched.

I'm 6'4" and with the 32" F4 the wind hit me square in the face. Went with Gustaffson and now I look just over so I'm happy. I have a 32" F4 for sale.
