I thought the 2012 RTS was supposed to have a power port in the frunk?

It's an accessory kit available to install...at least I think it's still available. Check on it if you want one. If you look up under the left side bodywork towards the top of the left front shock, you'll see a wire harness that ends with a rubber boot. The outlet installs in the frunk and connects there. The wire connectors in that rubber boot are always energized on the 2012. I never installed that outlet, but I did seal up the opening in the boot to keep out dirt and grime. The outlet in the rear is always on, on the 2012 also.

I ran some wires from that rubber boot and installed an outlet on the dash.

    Default usb in frunk

I used this one in the frunk part # 219400510 $34.99 . It give you 2 usb ports in the frunk. It just screws in like the 12v port and the wires hook right up to it. It's for under the seat for an f3 but fits perfectly.

Where is the rubber boot on a 2015 RTS to install a plug in the frunk can't seem to locate it?

Standing in front of the bike next to the battery cover on the right is a plug. Behind the wall of the frunk is the boot and wires. They are wire tied together..
