I am running the General Altimax RT 43 tire as a rear tire on my 2014 RTS-SE6 I have 5,036 miles on the tire,( I changed the original Rear tire to the Tire above)
Total mileage on Spyder is 10,320, and I choose the General Altimax RT43 for its Performance Evolutions, ( they are
Wet:
Hydroplaning Resistance 8.6,
Traction 8.7
DRY:
Cornering Stability 8.7,
Dry Traction 9.0
Steering Response 8.6
Comfort:
Ride Quality 8.6
Noise 8.3
Tread Wear 8.7.
The ratings are:Excellent to Superior and Consumer Reports Rates is very high, and as an excellent tire. ( March/April Issue).
I am very happy with the General Altimax RT 43 tire on my 2014RTS-SE6 spyder, and the size I am running is 215/60R 15. Their is plenty of clearance between the tire and the bottom of the Trunk. The tire does not rub. This will be my 2nd motorcycle season with the General Altimax RT 43 tire.
I am running 26psi.
I can not help you with the Kumho Ecsta Sorry!

I put "T" rated Kumho Solus TA11 on the front of my Spyder. "T" means they're rated at full load at 118mph. My Spyder is speed governed at 110mph and I doubt I would ever even run at that speed.

what are the pros and cons of each?
I have the AST on the back and the Solus on the fronts. 18# of air front and 26 in back. 28 if two up
