15 months old
Just turned 31000 miles today in just over a year! Poor spyder spent 50 days in the shop this last year and will be going in for another 50 plus days to fix what they could not the first time...but that's not way I'm posting.
I don't live in the south yet and to hit that many miles in just over a year I think is amazing. So here is to more miles and smiles!!!20151121_113307.jpg

I drop it of every December because I'm not going to give up my spring summer and fall. I know my deal sucks and is another long story ....I hope I will get it back by February so I will have 30 days to take it back a couple times before spring!!! Really really bad shop!!!! The spyder is a very cool machine and I can not wait for spring and I have not put it up yet!!

That's great! Think of the fun you could have if you could only ride year round. I've had mine 630 days and I've got just under 63,000 miles on it. I have loved every mile on this Spyder.

Why so much shop time?
As a ST owner, you have me wondering why your Spyder is spending so much time in the shop. I don't mean to pry, but I'm just wondering if there is something I need to know.
All the best,

Mine was in for the side panel exchange due to the heat problem and to get the BajaRon sway bar and links installed. Recently after I came back from a couple hours of riding,
I noticed that the cover over my tag light was missing???? Weird!!! I will pick up a new one this Tuesday, and naturally the cover is not sold separately, I had to buy the entire fixture!!!
That is it, otherwise the ownership experience has been a BLAST!!!!!!

I bought the spyder new and it was my second spyder. When I bought it it had a vibation in the handle bars...oil leak...noise in front end ...water drops behind Gage cover... So being my second spyder I knew that my home town dealer sucked so I took it to a different dealer but owned by same guy! Took 50 days to fix oil leak that still is not fixed. They could never figure out vibation told me it was because I did not rotate my tires well it's a out of round wheel. So that being said my last spyder 2012 rs se5 was very reliable and this one needs a lot of love and my dealer sucks. So I will take it back to get all of that fixed plus left turn sigal headlight assy limp home mode issues.
Love my sts and if my dealer was good it would not have spent so much time in the shop.
So I need to live where spyderann lives 65000 miles sounds very fun!!

I hope the dealer can get your problems fixed or you can find a shop that knows what they are doing! That way you can enjoy your Spyder without interruption!

You need to stop more , have a Burger, drink a Beer and talk to more people. It's not how many miles you put on but the quality of the miles you do ride. Thats a lot of miles to put on in one year. It almost borders on obsessive. Stop and smell the roses and the world you live in. Life is short and not meant to set records. Records are soon forgotten.
Merry Christmas and a Happy new year.

That's your opinion Jack and you are entitled to it. I happen to agree with GreatRides, and if you think about it, if he didn't really enjoy riding his screen name probably wouldn't be GreatRides. I happen to love to ride so every mile I get to ride increases my quality of life.
And don't drink a beer when you are riding, that is really stupid.

Your 100% right! It's not how many miles but who you meet and what you see. Love taking the wife and the girls out on it and who's to say...just might be a little obsessive

Got off the spyder
So I try to take tons of pictures on my rides...so on my ride today I was able to get off the thing and take some. 20151212_123713.jpg so it has nothing to do about the miles never has been never will be. Its all about the person I'm with or what I get to see.

What this shop is really doing to stay in business, because it sure doesn't sound like it has anything to do with customer service. Is this place an actual Can Am dealer/service shop?

It is really a can am dealer. They are a nightmare to deal with and it takes forever to get your stuff back.... I've called Brp and they have been no help... So ever winter the spyder does in to fix the stuff they could not fix the winter before!!!
So I did 200 miles today and wife did not come with me...she was missed a little. I found this very cool town that I will be going back to this spring with the wife for a burger and a beer....root beer for me. Another long story...lol
I can not upload but one picture per post but here is one pic of this cool little town.20151213_134128.jpg
