It's going to have to be programmed. Why not call your nearest dealer(s) and ask. Prices may vary.

You didn't say what year bike you have; the OLD keyblanks were about $35 bucks.
If your bike is a 2013 or older; just buy the blank. Take it, and your other good key to a good locksmith. They can cut it, and clone it for you.
If your bike is a 2014 or later; you've got to go to the dealer...

The clone route works if you are using an aftermarket key, like the ILCO. BRP keys are already coded and need to be added using the Master Key procedure.

Depending on your model year, how the keys are made, programmed, or cloned is different.

you can get blanks online for five to seven dollars. Cloning runs about $25.00 at Kwick Keys but only up to the 13 models.
this is an aprilla key blank used on spyders as well....

Ace Hardware will actually cut and clone a JMA key for free!
You just have to know what to tell them.

Depends on the individual store. I have had an Ace do one, then when I came back later they would no longer do it. But I found a Lowes that would do it. I would recommend that anyone who is going the cloning route take notes from your video of what machine is used and then ask around at any place that cuts keys if their local Ace won't do it.
