Folks, can someone detail the difference between the lamonster nbv vs the fbb highway pegs?
This would be for a 2014 rt-s. It looks like the fbb mounts only to the factory floorboards and the nbv mounts somehow to the frame of the bike? How different are the foot positions between the two? How sturdy are the floorboard mounted pegs vs the nbv mounts?
How adjustable are each?
Anything else I should consider between the two?
looking for a Christmas farkle!

I can't speak to the fbb, but I have the nbv. I am 5' 7" and the nbv works good for me, the fbb might be better for someone with longer legs or who wants to have their feet out wider. The NBV's mount to the frame and are quite sturdy. I used the Kuryaken mini floor boards for the pegs so I had more surface area for my feet, and am really happy with them and the pegs.
I have the FFB highway boards with mini boards they were a breeze to install just followed the video and didn't have take off any panels or change hardware just drill two holes and bolt them up look great

While I cannot directly compare, I can vouch for the LaMonster pegs. They provide a good alternate riding position that helped on a long trip. They are very solid and I have used them to prop up my frame to shift as i ryde. Any close riders in your area that have each that you can compare?

Take a look at the Rivco before you decide. I have them on two bikes and love them.

I also am considering the highway options for my 15. I don't want any that require MORE work to be done when servicing the bike. It looks as though the ones that attach to the floor boards would not require removing to remove other plastics from the spyder.
Any thoughts here??

I bought the FBV, couldn't stand them, sold them, bought the NPV, love them.
The FBV really require you to spread your legs apart to use them, and I'm just too inflexible to be comfortable that way. The NBV require less spread, but the nature of the bike is that it's wide in front so it still requires some.
The NBV are just a bit harder to install, but not bad. Bottom line - I like the NBV better.

Neither set of brackets impacts the servicing requirements of the bike. For the NBV brackets, at least, you just have to take off and put back on the one tupperware piece on each side for the install, but that is it.
I am most definitely not at all handy with tools but I was able to install the NBV brackets myself. Lamont's video is very good at explaining it all.

I do not think either are worth the money. I instaled the floorboard mount style gives you very little leg extention. If you are not long leged or bull legged you are going to find they are very wide to use.

I have Lamonster's NBV web pegs. They are easy to install and doesn't require removal of the pegs to take Tupperware off. I ride most of the time with my heels on the front of the boards with my toes up on the web pegs. With the BRP comfort seat moving me back 2" makes the highway pegs position very comfortable.

They can be moved forward or more rearward . I turned mine inward to keep me from spreading my legs outward to far.
So this is the fbb mount but turned in? How is the clearance from the inside end of the peg to the tupperware? Any particular extras needed to do this?
