Default Can Am passenger backrest install question

    Hi all.

    Just installed the passenger backrest.

Question for those who either have installed theirs or have one and could look at theirs and tell me which way the plastic "sleeves" face that go onto the frame before you reinstall the side hand grab rails.

The diagram has them appearing to face the seat like this l= but seems like they should face this way =l and make a little track for the removable back rest to sit in.

Hope that makes sense - if you have this installed a pic on the attachment point with the backrest removed (where the grab rails are) would clear this up for me.

    Thanks in advance.

Hope this helps. Collar out toward the hand rail and flange pointed inward toward the machine works just fine. Hope you like yours as well as I like mine! Comfy!

If you notice, there seems to even be a scallop where the flange meets the weld. That was sort of a hint for me!
BTW, they sort of snap in place when properly aligned. Have fun.
