Ever hear the fairy tale about "The Emperor's New Clothes"? Just throw the tires back on it and tell everyone you got the special paint that only those worthy of beholding a Spyder can see. To everyone else, its invisible.

Well I spent the day pulling more parts off of the Spyder for paint and powdercoat. It's really turning out nice but it's twice the work I thought it was going to be.

You are going to powdercoat your HID ballasts? Man, you are taking this to a whole other level...

I wonder if we'll see this in one of the major motorcycle magazines?

That picture looks like it could be an extra in the Terminator movies. Just add two red LEDs for eyes.

Lamont, are you replacing your handlebar risers with different bars? It it appears that way in one of the photos. Just curious.

I hope you all know how all that stuff goes back together. It's like a $20K jig-saw puzzle. I can't wait to see it in September in person.

My wheels showed up yesterday (Thanks No Magic) and I need to get them over to the painter now so he can blackout three of the spokes so they match the rear wheel.

I just got up from sleeping on the floor at the shop here in SC.
I got here on Thursday to start putting the Spyder together but the powder coater had some key parts that I really needed to get rolling on this. Most of the paint work was done and just needed a little buffing.

We worked all day Thursday and Friday and the powder coating showed up about 5 pm and it was not good. James had to sand it all down and shoot it again. This really put us behind.

I decided to run home that night and grab my trailer so James could paint it too. I got back in the morning with it and we started tearing it down and James got it all painted yesterday.

It's really coming out killer and I can't wait to see it done. Soon as I get done typing this I'll be back at it. All I have right now is one cell phone pic and the lighting was bad but you can get an idea how it's going.

No more "World's fastest trailer" graphic?

From hearing some of the stories of your biking "adventures", I'm confident things will work out for you.

Looks like you shot the front calipers red...

I thought you were going to black out 3 spokes? What happened?

If you're running out of time I can send the cooner's over. They are getting pretty wired over here with nothing to do. And they don't sleep at night anyway.

I think this is the wheel specialist. As you can see....He's ready to go!
