THIS SUX
THIS SUX, my wife & i were going to do hunter mountain this sunday, well yesterday i trip over a jack at my shop while carry a new rim up front. i fell down, scratched
the polished rim and tore the ligaments in my right ankle.
Now i am on crutches, redoing the polish & clear to the wheel and hoping i will be ok for the following week when we go to sleepy hollow for their halloween thing.

Thanks all, cuzn it may have 3 wheels but no wheel to put crutches and can't wear a shoe, my toes will be FREEZING.

Strap the crutches on across the passenger grab rails, and get yourself a set of concrete over-boots...
A couple of thick pairs of socks, and you'll be riding in no time!

Get well soon
As my next door neighbor tells me all the time, and for good reason! "Be careful", except he extends the "Be".
Hope you get well soon and are back on the road.

Get the wife to drive. With no motorcycle license here in Alberta , my wife can drive either with me on the spyder or following her on another ride. Food for thought. Anyway, heal up quickly. Good luck .

You should think real hard about that. Did the doc say what the degree of sprain/ tear is? Any ankle bone fractured?
I do hope it isn't too bad, and you heal quickly.

Hi Wylie!
I never said that it was the smartest thing, that I've ever done...
But if you think that motorcycling season is short; snowmobiling season is a whole lot shorter!
If you snooze; you loose!

I didn't suggest what you said was wrong. It all depends on the grade of sprain/tear; not every sprain is the same grade.
Once again, heal quickly SS.

didn't go to dr. i have done this on both ankles now for 40 years, over 6 times ea. it is a torn ligament, dr's can't do anything but put ace bandage on,
give me prescription for tylenol with codene & give me crutches. well i don't like taking prescription drugs, i have crutches & i have the bandage. done this
too many times so i am very very familiar with it & i instantly know when it happens.
only good thing is it's not as bad as other times.
