I wonder how fast you'd have to be going, to out-drive the camera?
100 mph?
130 mph?

So I assume that that speed limit is all day? Here they have times listed ie; 7:30 to 8:45 and 2:30 to 3:45 or something like that.

They try and say that they are for safety, but they are only there to generate revenue. They don't stop people from speeding.

Maybe I'm missing something here but I would think doing over the posted speed in a "School" zone one would expect whatever penalty was issued ???

My Zumo 660 GPS will warn me if I am approaching a red light or speed camera. There are no speed cameras in my area but there are red light ones and gives lots of warning.

I will have to check that out on my 660. I didn't know they did that. Is there anything you have to activate to get that feature?

You have to get a POI file that has all the camera locations in it. Then load it onto the Garmin with the warning message. I get the file from POI Factory and costs $20 a year and it is updated every couple weeks. There are other web sites that offer similar services with varying prices.

We don't have speed cameras around here, but we have lots of red light cameras. I keep from getting tickets simply by stopping for red lights. And considering I consider running red lights one of the most dangerous, stupid things one can do, I have no problems with them.
