Default What's the best air cushion ?

Rode last weekend till my boney butt went numb. Who makes the best and most comfortable air cushion to put on my BRP comfort seat? I'm sure that this has been debated before so it should not require a lot of discussion. Thanks.

Airhawk R seems to be the cushion of choice here.

I have the medium Cruiser version of the Airhawk which was pre-R model..

They work very well. The secret is that you sit "in" it and not "on" it.
It takes a ride or two to get the air pressure figured out for you.

The very best air cushion is not an air cushion
it's a Comfortmax Gel pad, made with
medical grade Gel & Memory foam.

    Default Best Air Cushion

I have a 2014 RTLtd and just got the Airhawk-R about 3 weeks ago. I was having the same problem on longer rides of getting numb and this was the answer for me. I can last much longer now as it seems to absorb a lot of the shock of the road. But as was said, you have to ride a few miles to figure out how much air to put in it. Once you do, then I think you'll enjoy the ride even more.

I bought a AirHawk R ... used it around town .. but could not get the air pressure correct... just made a trip to Tennessee... finally got it right.. as someone already stated.... "sit in it... not on it"... and helps keep your behind dry...

    Default Airhawk R

Bought them when we had the 2012 RT Limited. Tried them but just could not seem to adjust them right. Put them in storage two years back. Bought another RT Limited in 2014 and lately we have been doing a lot the day trips (19,000 miles plus since March 2014) so dug them out to give them another chance. With a bit of fiddling we both now step off the bike after a full day feeling a ton better. We have an Ultimate seat and mostly pull out the Airhawks for the return ride.

It took a while, but Linn and I both enjoy their benefits.

    Dave,

Is there a link for more information about your ComfortMax Gel Pad? I went to your web site to look for more information, but all I found was a comment on the home page that said, "Dave's ConforMax Gel seat pads you can install yourself", but no link to any description, instructions, pictures, information, etc.

    Default Airhawk R

Add another vote for the Airhawk R. I just returned from a 2200 mile road trip a week ago and the Airhawk R performed flawlessly; I did not experience any saddle soreness. You need very little air in the seat cushion.
