Russell Day Long Seat
Have a date set for a ride in with Russell Day Long Seat Co. in Shasta Lake Ca. on Nov 17 at 8 AM. Going to have to trailer my 2013 RT Limited from Tooele, Utah to their shop. Going to make it a two day trip, since you never know about going over those Sierra Nevada mountains. Think I will stop in Reno for the night going there. They told me that since it takes such a long time to get seat off and on the bike, be prepared to stay overnight. No problem. Wife is not happy with me for spending the money, but after a 250 mile trip this last Saturday and being on a stock saddle and even with an Airhawk R, I couldn't hardly move. Now I just have have to find a trailer to rent. U-haul doesn't have one wide enough. Don't really want rent a moving truck. Will call some trailer sales and see if they will rent any.

I have a Day Long on mine and worth every penny. Good people that make a great seat.
Post a picture when done!

Isn't it weird that in AMERICA our flag and our culture offend so many people......

Baloo is my name. Spyders are my game. Well, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, yes, it's a doo-bah-dee-doo, I mean a doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee, doo-bee-dee-doo. And, well, now. Ha ha! What have we here?

Had our RDL since Nov 2011 for our 2010 RT. 50,000 miles later we transferred our it to our 2014 RTS. Worth every penny.
2008 GS SE5 in 2008
Traded at 43,000 miles for a left over
2010 RT SM5 in 2011
Traded at 57,000 for a left over
2014 RTS SE6 in 2015, which has 35,000 miles
Oct 19th, 2017, totaled 2014 RT while killing a Javaline
Dec 12th, 2017 drove a 2017 F3L home. What an awesome machine!
Never had any breakdown stranded issues.

It's hard to get people to agree about much of anything these days but I think everyone agrees that a RDL is the best seat on the market. I switch motorcycles to often to justify the expense and down time to send my seat out but if I was sure I was going to keep one I would do it for sure.

Interesting, I called RDL a couple of months ago and they told me that they don't do ride-in appointments for a Spyder RT.
I guess I called them on a bad day.

I have had 3 Corbins, 2 Sargeants, 1 Saddleman, and 1 RDL.
I far prefer the RDL.

RDL Seats
I plan on going there myself.... it is a ten hour drive according to google. I have some special requirements, I am short, fat, and even with Triaxis handlebars I would like to be closer. If you are aware of bow draw lengths, my draw length is 25.5 inches, pretty short, normal draw is 30 inches. So that is why I am taking advantage of their ride in service. Sure it is going to cost me a little more, but I will get a custom seat made to fit me. I plan to keep it for as long as I ride Spyders.

I agree...have had Corbin seats on 3 bikes (including current ST-L); Saddlemen seat; Sargent seat....and a Russell Day Long on my 2012 BMW R1200GSA. The Russell is by far the most supportive and comfortable for me. I'm wanting to get one for my ST-L, but need a stock seat pan to send to them for the build.

I went to my dealer and asked if they had any that were destroyed. They had several that had been replaced under warranty and were just going to be thrown out. They gave me one. It has stitches coming undone and some minor separation in the seam. It is even a Limited seat, the same as my bike. Not bad for just for asking. Course I have a great dealer!

Had a RDL installed about a year ago, took awhile to fully break in but it's been great. I bought an older seat and sent that to them, then had RDL seat installed locally so I was never without a ride.
