    Hi Dee!
It's probably just a matter of finding the proper size and impedance, and it'd be an easy swap...
I know that Mike had all of the sizes; oem and aftermarket, listed in his threads about changing speakers.

I have used them in my son's cars. They are clearer than stock but no measurably increase in volume.

I do not mean to hijack this thread but I have been wanting to ask a question and this seems a logical place to do so. If one is riding with a full-face helmet and earplugs can you hear the speakers on a motorcycle/Spyder? I have always used either earbuds or helmet speakers.

It's a butte. No, it's a mound. Right purdy, too.

Yes Joseph you can hear the stereo with the ear plug in. Been listening to it for three whole days now. See you in Santa Cruz.

    Thumbs up At speed

I recently got my phone to talk to my Sena comm system. Works perfect with ear plugs in ( cheap helmet). easy to go to my other bikes ( Vmax and Valkyire with shorty windscreens).
Also now with RAM mounts. But the coat pocket also works fine.

Ever since the JBL swap was brought up by Mike, there have been questions about what might happen, if you crank up the system into a set of 2 ohm speakers...
Honestly; I don't know enough about the arguments to make a decision on them. Based upon that lack of info, I'd either stay stock, change to J&M speakers, or look specifically at other 4 ohm setups.

    3 Ohms...

There's even more "ohmage" to worry about?

Seriously; the only thing that I know for sure about electricity, is to keep my tongue out of the electrical sockets in the house...
So my question becomes: Do you think that the system still retains enough excess capacity built into it; to make using speakers that are "Close, but not quite" what the engineers had in mind okay?

I also would believe that replacing the oem plastic perforated grilles with modified grilles will improve the sound quality further.

I am sure if someone had a very solid electronics background, they could hybrid a very nice sound system using a better quality receiver and amp while retaining the fighter pilot left side grip controls.

PMK, I was just wondering if anyone had tried the Kenwood Speakers in their spyder. I know that JBL has great speakers, and sound. I might do something different next year. I can not this year, to much going on right now. Deanna
