    Default setting pre load

are there any guidelines for setting the pre load on the STS? I have seen many articles on setting up shocks on two wheels any for the Spyder?

What year STS? If it is a 2013, there is no adjustment on the stock shocks.

    Default Depends..!

if the shocks are adjustable the manual has some guidelines. Some had 5 settings and the fox style with the threaded body you set by the number of turns. If you have the non adjustable ones our sponsors have come up with adjusters you can add so you can make some changes...in the end unless you purchase the elkas or race techs, which are custom to your specs, you have to ryde and test for yourself...

Gene, you are right, I forgot about the spacers that can be put in to stiffen the outer spring. I also forgot who is selling them. Sorry!

    Default shocks

    it is a 2014 STS 5 speed .
All three have threaded adjustment. on two wheels there are ways to set up the shocks by how much compression happens as you sit on the bike. I take it there is nothing like that for the Spyder. What do people do?
