Default What are those purple things?

Is what my wife said about the dash caps. I had to pull them and hit em with a coat of high heat black and bake them for a bit at 250F. Once she said it I couldn't stop noticing them.

    Default Curious..!!

why the heat paint and baking..?? Might that be why they ended up purple..?? Maybe a second shot but don't bake them that may have burnt the paint...

I got my Route 129 windshield today and wondered the same thing. I kind of dig them so I think I'll leave them alone.
