Default Getting some work done tomorrow morning

Tomorrow morning I am taking my Spyder in to have the Bajaron swaybar installed and have the laser alignment done. I will let you know if I find a Hugh improvement in the handling of the Spyder.

I just got the 2013 back today from having the warranty work and the laser alighment done. I had installed the BajaRon sway bar a couple of weeks earlier. Both were improvements. I now for the first time since I bought it feel like it handles as it should. Jury still out on the warranty work since it was near 96 here today.

Well i drove 230 kms today (one way) to have the swaybar and the laser alignment done. Wow what a difference in the way it handles. I couldn't believe it was the same bike. I can now do highway speeds and not have to fight to keep it straight. It also handles the turns much better. These service tech said it was out of alignment by an inch and a half. It was a completely different bike on the way home. I wish I had gotten it done sooner. You all were right, it makes a lot of difference in how the bike handles with the addition of the Bajaron swaybar and a laser alignment . I couldn't be happier.

That's awesome. I know the BajaRon sway bar will help to provide a better ride. From what I've heard from people whose Spyders were out of alignment, the laser alignment should help too (if yours is out of alignment).

Glad to hear about your improved ride. It was very noticeable to us when we had our Spyders laser aligned by Squared Away.

Anti-swaybar, alignment... OK, they are good things and help but you also have to set up your suspension. If you have any front wallow, consider jacking up the preload on your front shocks and having the right amount of air in your rear shock is helpful. I later bought some Elka shocks and have heavier springs and that made a large difference over just the stock shocks and BajaRon bar...

2-Up we run 70 PSI in the rear and I ended up cranking the front springload to the 5th and stiffest position. Big difference over just the thicker anti-swaybar. I got my Spyder aligned after all suspension work was completed by the incomparable Gray Ghost of Harper TX.

Sadly the stock front shocks on the 2013 and newer RT and ST's are non-adjustable. So this will not help the OP. Ron does make a spring adjuster that I am told helps a lot.

The shocks on the the newer RTs is not preload adjustable? Geesh, that is bad suspension engineering!

I agree 100%, I had the upgraded sway bar and the alignment done on my 2012 RTL now I also had it done on my new 2015 RT SS it's well worth the money.

    I have them on mine...
I added only two turns of preload, and it made exactly the difference that I was looking for!
