If you go that route, heat some water up and soak your cans in the warm/hot water. Speeds up process for application of thin smooth coats. I have scene a lot of plasti dip threads, so search a little.

Any tips... how much of the bike did you disassemble? How long has in been on; any failures. Did you use the aerosal?

    Thanks

    Default All black

I did all my silver panels in black. It's been a year and a half and it still looks pretty good. Not perfect anymore, but pretty good. I used 3 or four spray cans. I only took off the top y panel and the side covers, everything else was masked in place. It took several hours, most of which was dry time between coats.

The more coats you apply, the better it will look, and the more durable it will be. I think I put on four or five coats.

Spyder TV did an episode with tips and tricks using plasti dip. The project was a wheel rim.
