Yesterday, the Missus and I took a ride up to Walton, NY. There's a quilting store that she likes, and my Spyder dealer is there as well.
While she looked a fabric and yarn... ... I went and tried to get comfy on an F-3S that they had on the showroom floor. It had all of the stuff bolted to it, that allowed you to move the bars and pegs around for a comfortable fit...
Position #2 for the bars seemed pretty good, but I just could NOT find a spot for my feet...
I guess that I'm stuck with the RT!
Oh! In Downsville, NY, they had local artists displaying Bald Eagle carvings throughout Town... It's worth a ride OR drive to see them!!
...And I also got 40.9 mpg with the bike!
Today; it's a trip to Oneonta! Sonny-Boy needs some help moving into his new apartment.
(Translation: we have to buy new , for the new place... )
My spyder has been in the ER since last Wednesday. All new tires; but, the doc found it needed rear bearings, which they had, and a rear hub, which had to be ordered. Some how the rear hub got stock in Vermont; so, it's not BRP's fault.
To answer your original question, I'll at least be taking the dog out for a run/walk this A.M., and trying to keep the little yapper quiet.
Took my 2 dogs on a bike ride up to Travertine Hot Springs to go for a run
Did not let them loose because when I got there a Mountain Lion ran across the dirt road by the parking lot
I have never seen a Mountain Lion by the hot springs before
Guess draught id bringing them down closer

Haven't been able to ride since last Saturday. Been a very busy week preparing for the annual Purple Heart Banquet this past Friday. Today is the first day of rest since Tuesday last. However, not going to be a whole lot of rest since baby girl is coming for her bi-weekly visit.
Hoping to get a ride in this week. As soon as I finish up a lawn tractor, a Ford diesel that has water in the filter, two chain saws and...
I thought I was retired.

Did a breakfast run with my wife. We bought this Spyder as she hated my sidecar idea, which I'd talked about for decades, as the seating is bad for her back. So, when we test rode the SPyder and she found it more comfortable than any of our cars, plus, for the first time she noticed how much you can notice and See on a motorcycle... we jumped in. ANyway, I say that because the breakfast ride was her idea... and that is new... and nice.
Leave in a.m....so finished tentative route...going to Lincoln...pretty direct...coming back ....99.5% packing done....off to church then back to double check and make sure alllll is ready to GO

Drove to Virginia for a week of business meetings. Was going to ride but since it threw a DESS error I no longer have any confidence in the reliability of the bike for long distance trips.

last several decades.
(most of the pics I've filched from the web!)
First pic is the car park where the action is on a warm sunny Sunday afternoon
Whilst round the front you'll see the....uummm.....the front
We did a weekend jaunt to Fairbanks and saw some of the sites the NTA group visited. Chena Hot Springs, North Pole Alaska, and made the 15 mile ride that is allowed for motor vehicles into Denali National Park. Visited one Diners, drive in's and dives location in North Pole--not what it was cracked up to be. Not bad--but we had better Chinese Food the night we went out in Eagle River with the group. Turned out, our best meal was at the hotel on Friday night. I really liked that 18 year old Malt Whiskey. The day meals were all at quirky out of the way places and that added to the fun part of our trip.
Weather was great until the ride back--rain and cold. We had a great get away anyway.

.....we visited a little place in even deeper, deepest Sussex called Horsted Keynes where
they just happened to have a vintage transport rally and exhibition at an old railway station, now privately owned and run
by the Bluebell Railway.
I'm hoping this link works for you as it's a Google Street View panoramic view of this old Southern region station closed in the 60s ( I believe)
For all those who like Victoriana or old English railways go to Google maps and type in 'Horsted Keynes Station' in the search box..
Anyway cars and motorcycles were the order of the day and I have a few pics!
First up a nice Buick Eight ( you guys will know way more about this than me!)
Next up is my one of all time favourite British sports cars, an Austin Healey 3000
closely followed by another fave....an MGA
and here's one I'd not seen before! A Lagonda drop head coupe from, I think around 1935....

Sunday the hubby and I rode out to Pearls BBQ in Micanopy. Best BBQ for miles.
Yesterday, after work, we rode down to a restaurant in Ocklawaha on lake Weir called Eatons Beach. Casual semi open air restaurant with decent food and a great view of the sunset.
It was getting dark when we left so I got to try out my colorful remote lights. What a great time. I'm so enjoying my Spyder.
(I don't know why the picture posted sideways. Sorry about that)
