Answered prayer......... I went to the Oncologist yesterday and had a discussion with him about my diagnosis and prognosis. FYI I have almost completed 3 rounds of chemotherapy (I have 2 more shots in the belly of the Velcade medication). This chemo has knocked me down, jacked me up, caused me to spend 2 weekends in a row in the hospital, and would have this last weekend but I refused to go. My GP said I just needed to pound the liquids, which I did, and monitor my heart rate and try to keep it below 120 BPM. I felt like crap, was dizzy, had trouble walking and generaly was an UNHAPPY CAMPER.
THEN yesterday (Monday August 3rd 2015) i got the news.......... My IGA is back to normal levels. The bone marrow transplant can be pushed back, or even canceled, I may be able to go on "maintenance" meds to keep everything under control. IN OTHER WORDS for all intents and purposes I am in REMISSION from the Multiple Myeloma cancer.
I celebrated with my family. As you may imagine I was an emotional wreck but they held me up and kept me from turning into a puddle.
To all my Spyder Lovers friends and family...... Thank you for your prayers and well wishes. I have felt every one and ridden them when I had none of my own. Your support has been phenomenal. I can never thank you enough. I love you all.
