The RT-S and RT-Ltd have an onboard compressor for the rear air shock. You will hear it kick on at various times.

Mike, it does depend on your size and I'm sure there are other factors. I keep my rear shock at the hardest setting so I would think that it might make the compressor kick on more often to keep it at the highest psi. 5 or 6 times wouldn't be a big deal if you are on a long ride but 5 or 6 times in a few miles is probably not normal

Ours just quit working, but I couldn't tell with my bad hearing. Noticed the rear fender was very close to the tire and it rode harder too. I am putting air in manually until my dealer will look at it. It usually cycles at hard stops.
As was mentioned earlier if it runs all the time there is a leak.
