yes
I am interested.
I also belong to southwest can am riders on meet up forum.
Also going to Sturgis, alot of people there who only have two wheels, figure they need to see if you have a great ride, you do not have to trailer your bike to get there.
Please keep me informed, leaving July 30 to Sturgis then to MI. Be back in Sept.

Ok, Awesome Folks..
Let me do some groundwork on this and I will let everyone know...
Officer wise, we just need to fill the postions so at this point if someone wants one of them just let me know
I am not new to leading, I lead the Desert Dragons in the Phx area ( http:\\www.meetup.com\desert_dragons ) but I do not NEED to be a officer for our SRA chapter
Just more excited to have a SRA Arizona more than anything :-)
Bob..
UPDATE ==> 7/27/2015 5:30pm MST
Inquiry sent to Spyder Ryders Of America to see what the next step is :-)
Also created a e-mail address for it if anyone needs a contact point ==> SRA_Arizona@cox.net

I don't have a burning desire to be an officer, but will do it if tapped for it. I stay pretty busy with my American Legion Riders post where I am Secretary, but will take a term in an officers seat here if need be.

Ok Folks, looks like we are good
Before we can go forward we need to appoint a Board Of Directors which would consist of President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer
Let me know if anyone would like to fill one of these positions for at least the start-up phase?
Thank You,
Bob..

Because I'm retired and travelling, I can't commit to a position, but I will gladly help in any way I can.

Arizona riders
I belong to a group on Meet Up called Spyder Ryders Of The Southwest. Just started in February and 55 members so far. We are centerally located in the northwest valley of Phoenix. Our members, however, hail from all over Arizona. I'm sure many of us would be interested in supporting a chapter. In the mean time, when the ice cream trucks stop melting, we will be riding often. A very active riding group and very friendly folks. Check out our Facebook page. We've been from the White mountains to Bisbee, to Yuma, to Flagstaff on rides. PM me if things get off the ground and I would be happy to spread the word.

I'm in that Meetup group also. I'm not a big fan of Meetup groups, but I'll try out a ride or two and see how it goes. I'm also not keen on riding 75 miles to Surprise for a meetup.

Hi Pam. A long ride to start a long ride can be rough for some. The group plans rides to other parts of the state and beyond so that others that are not local can participate. We usually have an east and west valley rally point. We also meet up with groups along the way. We met a group in Tucson on our way to Bisbee (as an example). I know that many in our group, me included, have expressed an interest in a SROA chapter in AZ. Keep us in the loop as things progress. My mom says it's OK for me to be in more than one group. She's very wise.
