    Default Air pressure for tires.

Now that I have a new rt limited in my garage, I have read on here before and now can't find the thread, but what folks recommend on air pressure in their front tires and back tire? Do I go with what's on the tire itself or any good recommendations?

We all seem to have our preference. I suggest you find yours by experimenting with the various pressures. Happy Trails.

    I run 18 front and 26 rear.

I run 22 front and 28 back, but I RIDE HARD.... If you corner hard then lower front tire pressure will allow the tire to roll up on the sidewall (which it is not designed for) and will cause premature tire wear....

    Default Tough one..!!

Best start with the spyder recommended pressure and pre load range and go from there. You will see many pressures but will not know any of the loads involved..You weigh how much..??) everyone carries stuff , including wives and girl freinds and may need adjustments for that...have fun with it..

Whatever you do don't inflate to what the tire says on the sidewall you will be way over inflated.
just last weekend my wife went on a trip with a bunch of other girl riders Spyder's and bikes
they all met at the organizers custom motorcycle shop and thinking as a typical pre ride safety check
the owners mechanic of the cycle shop checked all the girls tires and went with what it said on the sidewalls
I found this out after my wife got back from her trip and she commented how massively under inflated her tires were according to the mechanic.
I think he had the fronts at 36 and rear 52 I about sh**t.
I re-adjusted the PSI and explained to my wife never follow what it says on the sidewall always refer to the manufacturers recommended.

    Rear...... 24psi ( General Altimax RT 43)
    Front......????

My spyder handles fine, with the General Altimax RT 43 on the rear.

On the front I have " Kenda original tires" and I have 7,181 miles on the original front tires. Deanna

What he said! You'll find it in your owner's manual or on the tag under the seat, just aft of the gas cap.
