Default Can't get the GPS to go through speakers

Traded my 2012 RT A&C for a 2015 RTL. Can't figure out how to get the voice commands from the GPS to go thru the speakers.
This is my first GPS. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

Is the GPS muted? I don't know if the 590 works the same as the 660. On the 660 a quik press and release of the power button gets you in the quik menu. You can mute and unmute or turn the volume up to full from there.

Do you have the radio on? You need to.

I have to assume that you're hearing the "normal" chatter from the radio...
Because if you weren't; I THINK that there's a section in the Preferences screen, that allows you to tinker with the audio settings... including where the output goes.

The radio cannot be turned off. If the key is on the radio is on. The external speakers can be turned off. The radio can also be muted. The GPS can override the radio being muted, but not when the external speakers are turned off.

Well you have a powered mount and speakers. Maybe it's just not hooked up. Since you have RTL, the GPS it is factory install and is something the dealer would not check. You can get your dealer fix it under warranty. If you want to look yourself. Take off the right side panels. The power connector and audio connector are located approximately at the right rear of the fuel tank.

It sounds as if a wire could have gotten knocked loose...

I am with billybovine on this. When I got my 2013 RTL I had the same problem, even had a salesman tell me that the GPS would only work with bluetooth. I had to get a bulletin from BRP that described how the audio worked to show to them. They found that the audio cord had either come loose or never been connected. It is on the right side as Billy mentioned.

Thank all of you guys for the information.. I will be taking my RTL to the dealer. I will have him check the connection you all spoke of. It sounds like the solution to my problem. You guys are great. Thank you so much. Now I will be well informed when I take my bike in and talk to the service tech.
