Digital Display can't take the heat
I was out riding today, and parked for a couple of hours at a restaurant where I had lunch with friends. After lunch, when I turned the key to on, the display was blank. I waited a minute, and then pressed the "Mode" button, and the start button. She started up, but the display was still blank. After about ten miles, the display gradually came on.
It was 114 at the time I parked... not an exceptionally hot day for Phoenix. This concerns me as I don't know how it's going to react when the really hot days come. Has anyone else had this problem?
Thanks
Pam

Display
That happened to my display a couple of years ago. I had parked to go into a restaurant and my display was facing the hot sun. It took about 20 minutes to return to normal after startup. I learned to place a rag or small towel over the display when the sun is facing the display while parked.

Thanks, I'll try that!

Agree..!!
have been using the safety card for some time and even when ryding with the sun on my back...does the trick. You can put something over the instructions to make is look better....

safety card
I just pull out my safety card also. Lamonster got a kool spider pic that covers the safety instructions, that says don't mess with my spyder. Someone posted it some time ago.
