    Default Driver's backrest adjustment?

The driver's backrest doesn't provide any lumbar support for me, as it is tilted too far back...
Does anyone experience the same problem and has come up with a solution?

    Backwards and forwards...
Now it is absolutely perfect. The backrest cradles my lower back and helps me to sit in a more healthy position ( I realized that I start to slouch while riding and my lower back started aching). AND my wife has got more room sitting in the back which is really important because a grumpy wife in the passenger seat is the worst back pain...Hihihi..get it?

What model or does it matter, I have the comfort seat and drivers backrest for it, mine pushes me too far forward so would like to back it off a little bit.

It is the standard OEM driver's backrest for the F3...
But maybe this also works for other models???

The tilt adjustment bolt is mentioned in the installation instructions.

Seems like you have to stand on your head with the dealers to get your installation paperwork when having them do the labor, must be scared we are going to do it better, huh!

It's on my 2014 Ultimate seat and I imagine its on all of them. Common sense would dictate some adjustment as most people's back location is different.

An ultimate is a completely different seat than OEM stock or comfort seat, I checked my comfort seat and cannot get the zippers for the cover to even move, so left it alone rather than break the zipper.

The RT's OEM backrest is NOT adjustable. A $22K F3's backrest is adjustable but a $30K RT Limited's is not?? I sit too far forward also with my crotch almost on the glove box. Someone suggested putting some washers as spacers under the seat to tilt the backrest back a little, but the shop told me today they tried to do it and it didn't really seem to make much difference. They said there's some BRP/Can Am something or other internally about the issue, so what that means for us I don't know. Just installed a Baja Ron sway bar and getting ready to try it out.

Thanks Wipp. I have been considering one but was concerned that it would not hit me right. I'm glad to hear it does. I got my windshield on this weekend, my footboards came in today, sounds like another piece of the puzzle for ultimate comfort.

They do not want you to have the instructions, might save you a few dollars. I have it put on work order to give me instruction sheets if they install..

    Default Drivers Backrest Support

Would like to know how to unzip the zipper with no end tabs on them in case I need to remove cover. I just adjusted mine tighter and it does not require you to remove cover. Take backrest out of slot where you can bend installation bar with long screw on it and expose the adjustment screw. It takes an 10MM allen wrench and let out to tight...good luck

And now you can! BRP is offering a retrofit-kit for all of the prior year RT backrest, that will allow for some rake adjustment.
