    Default Bad Key?

Rode out to the dealer this mornong to get the new handle bars put on and stopped to get gas on the way home. When I went to start it I got a "bad key error" Took the key out several times and it finally cleared but was wondering if anyone else had had this happen and might know what cases it. It's the only key I have used in it and the only time it's been out of the bike is when parked in public and then just in my pocket. I did take it out when I got gas. Never had that happen on the other spyder.

There is a lot of DESS (bad key error) stuff going on at the moment. I would recommend a trip to your dealer.

    Default Curious..!!

There have been some bad ignitions but have not seen them on the 15's much. Did they do the bars and could they have messed something up. Again it may have just needed a reset. Check your vin# number for ignition switch problems...

Your dealer ought to be able to get the DESS to relearn the keys, take both keys with you when you go to the dealer, this is done with BUDS

This happened to me on my road trip 1200 miles from home. I took the key in and out a few times and it worked. I'm taking it in for the vibration problem, going to mention this issue too.
