Backrest New style added ...
Apparently BRP has not installed one on a GS , rubbed up against both lights , had to grind corners down on each side .

I have the newest BRP backrest and it did not require any modification to install. Though it is tough to get it in there. You have to slide it in there at a certain angle.
But I like it way better than the old BRP backrest and the wife likes it better also. Happy Riding and be safe out there!

Agreed. I thought it was a no go, but after trying it a dozen times, I loosened a tail light and it went in okay on my RS.

It was rubbing on lights ...all I could see is rubbing a hole in the plastic, then moisture getting to the bulb s scratched the inside of both lenses!
