You are correct, at least in the USA. In England, it is 392 lbs.

The smoke on take off was from the 2-stroke engine, Vespas didn't go 4-stroke till sometime in the 70s, if I remember right. Oh yeah, no centrifugal clutch, it had a manual clutch, with a twist grip shift.

Well I watched the video again to see if I could see a clutch handle. Alas could not thus no telling.

But that is not a Vespa! It's a Lambretta.

I was joking about the clutch smoke.......

That ad is from one of the Queen's countries! Note the use of caravan, hundred weight, VHO 365 number plate (they aren't license plates in the UK), and driving on the left hand side of the road.

I still consider myself a fresh man....

But with that said.... seems many generations are around living well, where 100 years ago it was rare.

From any generation you can learn something if you are willing to listen.
With so many around now, seems more should be listening! Including me.....
