Riding Weather
Which state has the best weather for riding year round? Preferably not too hot and not freezing cold.

My guess would be North Carolina...
(The Western Half of it)
They don't get the unrelenting heat of the Summer,
And Their Winters seem to be pretty short!

But after your 3,473rd trip around one of them; where else can you go?
The weather is nice; there's just not enough road upon which to enjoy it.

BeRight is right. The San Diego area is amazing. SoCal in general has great weather. Just steer clear of the L.A. smog and traffic.

Gene (Chupaca) is always bragging about the roads around San Diego...
I wish that he'd chime in on this topic...

For you Bob I'll contribute my two cents...
But as you know..."home is where you hang your hat" and having had way too many homes on two continents. I have found the best in each and every one. I have to say weatherwise Peru and San Diego have been the best (no rain no ryde stopping cold).
Here in San Diego ryding in comfort is directional...high heat you head for the hill early and when the heat gets uncomfortable you head for the coast where it is so much cooler. Pacific coast is cold water and the temp changes about 2* between seasons so those breezes are cool. Yeah both places are on the pacific terrainwise Peru has the amazon jungle and here you have to drop into Mexico for that. East coast has great ryding but limited and have gotten fond of not having to worry about the weather that much....

Mid-Atlantic (Virginia/MD/West Virginia) weather's not bad for riding, it's usually 3+ season riding here, as long as you don't mind the rain every now and again. About the only months I don't ride all that much are January and February-- we definitely lose a lot of the mountain riding in the winter-- but even then we get Indian summer days.
As for summer... the heat and humidity is awful, but if you go out at dawn, you've got a good three to five hours of pleasurable riding-- plus, there's less traffic and you're home by lunch!

We have it pretty good in Southern Nevada, of course it is HOT in the summer but no shoveling in the winter.

Not a State here , and not the best riding year round, now if you could mount a SNOW PLOW, on the front and figure out how to disable the nanny, or even put a sled track on the arse end, THEN YOU HAVE SOMETHING....

Yes Jack, but now the mountain gods are spewing out lava from the volcanoes. Hmmmmmmm.
