Church shooting
Suspect arrested in church shooting in South Carolina. If it's him it would be nice to give him the death penalty quickly (not 10 years later) nine times in a row !

a person in charge of this country used this shooting to talk about other countries not having this problem because of better gun control. i really feel that if this man wants gun control than all the people that will guard him and his family once they are gone, should not be able to carry guns and they should be given long straws with a large supply of spit balls,,,,, just saying

To cuznjohn this is not the time nor the place. I fight crime everyday and yes it's very easy to gain access to guns in the U.S. I don't care about other countries. People are dying needlessly and there has to be a collaborative effect of all prudent people to address the issue.

Far from easy in my state. The guy had two previous arrests. Want gun control ? Put criminals in jail, keep them there and problem is mostly solved. Sorry I drifted, my prayers to the victims and their families. My respect for your profession.

cuznjohn has a right to say what he wants, as long as he follows Lamont's rules. Do you have a problem with freedom of speech?

As long as we respect the right of everyone to have an opinion; especially if it differs from our own... I see no cause for concern.
Right now; my opinion is that the focus should be on the bereaved...

Hi wyliec,

Does anyone beside me see the irony in this?

Regardless of what or how we think...
It's how Lamont thinks, that matters in here...

i am really sorry this turned into something that is upsetting some people. the kids today are not raised the way some of us were in the 50's. my dad a a tough SOB and he demanded respect from me. i grew up in east harlem ny and i can remember my dad telling me, if you ever get arrested for anything at all, i will be the first to bail you out. but when you get home you will wish you were still in jail. i had nothing but respect for him and loved him till the day he passed in 1976.
but the kids today are not treated like that, the parents treat them like friends and have no control over them. i have a cousin and a friend having problems with their kids because of this friendship thing. this kid that shot the people was arrested a few times for drugs, so what made the father buy him a gun. i was a pretty well adjusted kid, and i have always loved guns, but my first rifle my dad bought me was a 22 and i didn't see or know where the gun was unless he was around to see what i was doing.
i would bet almost anything that this kid was treated with kid gloves on because he had a few problems and his family felt if they were friends and not father and mother to him, that he would turn his life around. it's just doesn't work for everyone. i am glad i didn't have kids because i would of been one of the people that kept a eye on everything my kid did. did any of you ever cry as a kid over being upset over something you wanted to have and couldn't get it, than get a slap and told here i will give you something to cry about. i loved the old guy but never really told him, but i feel he brought me up right and i thank him for it

was the gun legal, i know his dad gave it to him but is the kid licensed

What are the Rules in South Carolina about the ownership of handguns?
Did the Dad buy it for him, because the kid was legally unable to get it for himself?

when guns are outlawed... only outlaws will own guns !!! guns have saved countless lives and prevented thousands of rapes... and ponder on this... it usually takes 20 minutes for cops to arrive after a 911 call... they usually arrive just in time to call the coroner...

From an article on Yahoo "Meek said during their reunion a few weeks ago, Roof told him that he had used birthday money from his parents to buy a .45-caliber Glock pistol and that he had "a plan"
Yesterday they said that it was purchased by an uncle on his 21st birthday, so who knows.
It so sad that so many lost their lives to another Lunatic!

Eagle 1 -well said. May God comfort and strengthen the families in their bereavement and cradle their loved ones. Let the families' willingness to forgive the suspect and pray for his salvation humble and remind us that hate has no place in our hearts.

For once I'm against the death penalty. I think that there may be a few blacks in jail that would like to visit this little white boy in prison . And I would think that there are a few black guards that just maybe busy for 5 minutes . Child molesters don't last too long in prison and I would think white people that murder blacks in church --may have a rough time of it too.
Bob--- I like your picture / attire !!
