not likely....if they make any major changes they would be with the ST (if they want to save it /or better it's sales) probably the 1330 ACE and /or the RSS (more sport more power) maybe the 1000R twin turbo, but the RS will be the base entry level machine no changes. Sounds good to me..!!

mechanic at the local dealership said they got some inside info that one 2016 model will have a turbo.. but... of coarse... rumors are a dime a dozen...

I talked to a BRP designer at Daytona last year and told him what I thought BRP needed to do with the RT to get it in better competition with the Harley & Goldwing bikes. It centered around the audio system, as it is years behind their competitors. I am hoping I planted a seed that will bear good fruit!

Rumors aside, I agree with akspyderman that it's about time to change the looks of the RT. I think that would be a good marketing move for BRP – especially now that the heat problem is hopefully over with the 2013, and the RT now has the new engine.
I like my 2013 a lot, but I'm hoping that something will turn up in the next couple of years that will make me really want to trade up. The F3, although a big success, did not do it for me.

If they redesign the bags and top case...bags 2 to 3 inches deeper, top case wider and longer, they could do the F3 front end on it and GAIN storage. Size the bags to take a XXXL full face with a bluetooth setup, and the top case close to the Harley Tour Pack.
I was a year off, last year . . . I released the photo of the 2016 RT LTD, saying it would be the 2015 . . . sorry . . . and before you ask, no, you can't use 87 Octane in it. But, at least, they have resolved the OEM tire mileage issue!

That settles it then. Although I would feel more confident if your grandson's neighbor's aunt's son's kindergarten teacher's mother-in-law had told you!

Think about it for a moment...
Would you trust ME up there?
I will trade my 2010 RTS for a new trike next year. But, for the Spyder, I hope significative changes in the front end, the backend and the dashboard. 6 years with the same look is enough.
If BRP goes along minors changes fir the RT or no change at all, I will look for an H-D trike like the Tri-Glide or the Freewheeler.

The F3 holds a full face Arai XXL with a Sena bluetooth and the charging outlet just fine. An xxxl cannot be that much bigger and mine has room to spare on all sides and top.
