I can't say enough how much I appreciate Linda and Dwayne's hospitality while we were at Eagle River. Daily rydes, good restaurants, and home-cooked banquet at Dwayne's house. It was wonderful fellowship and the last time all the NtA would be together, since Fred and Cathy left this morning for a ryde to Haines where they'll catch the ferry back to Bellingham, Wash. After the Denali excursion the group will disperse even more, but I'm sure we'll keep blogging here.
Thank you for your comments. Linda and I have had the best week ever. We have met some of the greatest people, made new friends, got to share some Alaska rides that the average tourist will never see.
And then you folks are off to some even greater adventures.
I have never seen Linda more excited or happy to meet and interact with such a great group.
Our time together, yesterday with all, both before and after the banquet was the best.
You folks have given us the greatest summer yet.

We are getting ready to meet with the NTA group departing North on the next leg of their journey.
Linda and I are going to ride with them to Talkeetna. They are going to take the sidebar (34 miles) into historic Talkeetna, stop for lunch, and then we will part company at the Talkeetna Jct. Tesoro gas station.
Both Linda and I are anticipating a very sad farewell. It has been a great week.

Watching your trip using the spot link has been great. We are planning a trip up north next year only will be in the car. Am going to get a spot for just that. Thanks for the fun.
The Yukon was a bit hard on the trailer. The weld for the lock did not hold up. Will try to get it welded in Haines AK.
So you made it over the rough stretch? Glad it was only the lock.

We had to get up way too early today to make it to Denali to catch our bus at 7:20. The road between Healy and Denali is all torn up and you have to wait for pilot cars to take you through. We got there plenty early and boarded the bus for our adventure. We saw sheep, caribou, grizzly bears and moose. It started out mostly sunny but then we hit rain later in the day. The roads are a bit scary, especially in the rain, but we made it safely.
Tonight we we had dinner at our hotel and said our goodbyes, as some of the group is headed to the Arctic Circle in the morning. I am really excited to be heading south to see my puppies! We will ride with Tom and Robin tomorrow heading to Tok via Fairbanks and North Pole AK.
This is is Hidden Lake, the second picture is s couple of moose and in the last picture there is a grizzly bear to the right of the smudge and a little bit lower
