Default 'Patent Pending' Molecular Color Adhesion Process for F3 Frame Caps

Alright maybe not 'patent pending' but you did click.....

I had to take a trip to Lowes yesterday so I picked up some loctite and spray paint. I scuffed up the caps with some steel wool, hit em with some water, then the air compressor, then a microfiber cloth and then the spray paint. I let em dry overnight and the end result is:

    Before:

    After:

I guess you could pay $129 for the chrome ones from BRP or $160 for the IPS caps. I chose to spend under $13 and I dig the results.

Looks good. Could have tried PlastiDip. I did some PlastiDip work on my street glide and loved it.

I used PlastiDip on my 2011 Street Glide. I did the chrome tank dash, saddle bags and the breather cover. It's holding up great. Just takes patience to get it right. You have to do a minimum of 5 coats. I've power washed it and everything. Still looks perfect.

Patience is the key. Rustolium makes a similar spray that I have had good success with. The first time I used it I puddled it, but wiped the excess with my finger and kept adding coats. Came out smooth.

    Those bags look great xBobbyx.

Looks great. What paint did you use. I stopped using plastic dip didn't seem to hold up the the Sun and you being from Vegas you get plenty of Sun and Heat.

Thanks. The bags turned out better than I expected. The spray paint does look good. It's little things like that, that I think BRP should think about. They should come black already. Just my opinion.
