A guy in North Carolina built the trike. He has some very awesome design and fabrication skills.
He has a race car background and originally built it for him and his wife to enjoy. After a lot of testing and a lot of interest he had plans of putting it into production and had all the vendors lined up to outsource all the parts plus a few installers. He needed investors to come in with him and when that did not happen got discouraged and put the trike on the back burner. He said it was a fun project up till that time. Since then I think he has put a front trike kit on a V-Rod, he get's bored. Still wish he could bring the Goldwing Reverse Trike Kit to market, but for now it is the only one. Like I said above I really wish I could keep it, but financially I need to sell it. Someone will get a nice handling and unique looking trike.

Hello amusher,
I hope you did not misunderstand me when I said in my post above that so far this was the only one. I did not mean that it is the only Goldwing reverse trike out there. I meant that this ( the Goldwing reverse trike that I have is the only one like it so far). My Reverse Trike is not an R18, though there may be some similarities.
There are other options for reverse trike kits out there, there is even one that tilts and leans in the bends.
Yes the R18 that is built by the company in the Netherlands is another fine looking reverse trike kit for the Goldwing, I checked them out at bike week this year. I was told that the R18 kit starts at about $18k installed and you furnish your own Goldwing. So it is a good thing to have options in the trike world.

Just a little info, I went to a certified scale the other day and the trike as it sits with 2 gallons of gas in the tank weighed 1014 pounds. Deduct 16 pounds for the 2 gal of gas and the trike comes in under 1000 pounds, WOW.
Other standard 1 front wheel 2 back wheel Goldwing Trikes I have had came in from 1175-1250 pounds, quite a bit of difference in weight.
Gas mileage for the last 3 tanks 39 mpg, 38mpg and 40mpg
The trike has the newer back shock, spring and actuator from a 2012 Goldwing trike take-off, for a better ride.
To make an offer please use the private messages (PM) on this board.
Thanks, i do need to sell it

I do like it that it does have a front trunk and the other one that posted here doesn't. Very good looking bike. Good luck with the sale.

Thanks Ex-Rocket. Hey looks like we are right across the river from each other.
Really nice color red they come out with on the 2015 Spyder Rt you have, is it a candy red?
Trade-ya even, ah just Kidding!
Oh I just noticed at the bottom of your signature that it says (2015 Spyder RTS SE5)
i would think it should read SE6 unless you have not found the sixth gear yet, LOL.

Reason: Added remark of SE 5 should be SE 6

Those are some super wide front tires (compared to what our Spyder's utilize). Cool pics!
So what's with the emblem that says "Scorpion" (I think?)?
Also does it have a mechanical reverse like our Spyder's, or does it still utilize the original Goldwing Trike's electric reverse system?
Slick looking ride at any rate! Wish you the best of luck with a rapid sale!

Hi Michael, yes the super wide front tires do grab the road pretty good.
It does not have a mechanical reverse, but it still has the electrical reverse that works off the starter motor that comes stock on a Goldwing. Basically the trike is stock except for the front trike kit that is bolted on in place of the front wheel, forks and triple tree.
The emblem says SCORPION GT-ONE on each side on the running boards and are removeable, good of you to catch that. The original owner/builder had these made up and put them on there.

So then the "GT-ONE" is because it's 1 of 1 I'd presume? Nice touch (I couldn't read the 2nd line of the emblem). Ahhh! Now I get it... so it started life as a conventional 2 wheeled Honda Goldwing! See I was thinking it was originally a conventional trike that had been completely re-arranged... now I see more clearly! Kewl!
Best of luck on finding it a great home!

I know it's a long shot but I may even take a Spyder + some cash in on trade. I prefer a 2014 RT with the SE6
Like I said I know it's a long shot
