    Default Cleaning 2015 RT Spyder

    Hello Fellow RT Riders,

I just picked up my very 1st Spyder last Friday. I love the ride and fun I have had on it already.

    Question:

What are you using on the windshield to safely clean it and also, what are you using on the rest of the machine to clean it?

    Thanks!

Soft towels and warm water on the wind shield ,easy when remove all bug and wash just like you wash your car ,I don't spray the water throught the dash just around the body. This how I clean my spyder and another bike

For big dirt..mud. Soap and water

otherwise I use Cycle Care 33 With a micro fiber cloth....lamonster's a cleaner in a spray can is the same. A dry wash...they work great. Getting the bugs off.....

I agree with hobbykim on the warm water towel for the windshield. I lay the very wet towel on the windshield and let it sit while I'm doing the rest of the Spyder. The bugs just dissolve and generally come right off when I remove the towel. I dry the windshield with microfiber clothsand then use Plexus on it, again with microfiber cloths. For the rest of the roadster I use plain old biodegradable Turtle Wax car wash soap and a soft mitt; dry with soft towels or microfiber cloths. The soap also does a very good job on brake dust.

Car wash soap for the body. Simple green for the wheels, cleans the brake dust and road grime off very well.

    Default Several....

Have used several of the cleaners out there. Currently using "Black Diamond" cleaner sold by Lamont and works great. Black matte finishes I use Armor-all or WD-40.

Plexus. It is expensive but it will make the windshield last longer
