Better acceleration on a 2015 RT-S
Hello Everyone,
I am looking at purchasing another Spyder, went for a test ride on a new RT-S yesterday, great tryke. When I was at the dealer I noticed the rear sprocket on the F3's was quiet a bit larger, 2-3 cogs maybe. Has anyone changed out the rear sprocke/beltt on an RT with a sprocket/belt from an F3? I am hoping this would help with the 1st gear lag. Thank you in advance for your feedback.

It has been talked about but don't know that anyone has actually done it.

Don't know..!!
would be a costly swap but if you go for it we would love the review. As mentioned, there are other mods that can help some...

Not easy
According to our parts guy, the belt teeth are spaced different, so you need a belt, front pulley, rear pulley, Cush drive, and possibly a wheel and tire! While the part numbers are different, IDK if anything works together. Next question is: will top speed drop enough to make the whole project moot?

Also if on, turn ECO mode off.

IF the cush drive mounting is the same for both, and can be interchanged; that would make this all much easier!
Do you have a friendly dealer nearby, who might be willing to help you make a comparison of the two?
If they interchange; you're down to a belt, and a couple of sprockets.
Good Luck!

Thanks for the feedback!
Thanks for the input guys, just getting started on the project, hopefully have a new RT in the garage by the weekend and then I can tear into it and see what the options are. I will keep everyone posted.

The part numbers for the European F3 for the rear sprocket and belt are the same as the North American RT
I bet all you need is a longer belt and larger rear sprocket
